Modern Comfort, Independent Living

We’re building a new life that blends the best of modern convenience with the freedom of living on the land. If you’re ready to meet your needs, build your dreams, and enjoy life together—this is for you.
  • Years of community immersion and planning
  • $40,000 raised toward land
  • Community prototype designed and ready
  • Now seeking 3–4 grounded comrades to co-found

The Vision

Read Vision Text:

Modern life promised convenience and abundance, but many of us ended up overstimulated, overworked, and disconnected. While cities may heal over time, our near-term path is different: bring useful technology and simplicity back to the land to experience the best of both worlds.
We’ll pool resources to buy land, build a community that experiments with better ways of living, and stay financially resilient by welcoming visitors who come for the experience.
Stage one is networking and building a strong founding crew. We’ll work hard for a year or three to establish systems and infrastructure. Then we’ll enjoy the fruits of that work—either returning to our individual lives at a higher level or choosing new lives we discover along the way.
“The goal isn’t to enforce ideals—it’s to free our time and reduce pressure so we can live better, fuller lives together.”

Who We’re Looking For

  • Permaculturalists, digital nomads, builders, artists, solarpunks, preppers, primitive survivalists, healers
  • Anyone seeking more freedom, time, and meaning—even if it means trading some conveniences at first

What Matters Most

  • Grounded and dependable
  • Willing to save and commit long-term
  • No money needed yet—commitment and character first

Foundational Principles

  • Permaculture as a guiding framework
  • Modular spaces that serve different personal priorities
  • Shared meals most days (private meals welcome)
  • Grow 50–100% of our food in shared gardens (private gardens welcome)
  • Resilience funded by services: hospitality, retreats, education, festivals, recreation
  • Regular project meetings and honest check-ins
  • Max size ~100 people, then create sister communities
  • Each person’s goals inform the design
  • Independence in food, shelter, and clothing where possible
  • Solve and evolve together

What Makes Life Here Different

  • -Newcomers rest fully and integrate with the community and fall in love with the land before lifting a finger for work

-We strive to shorten our work weeks and free up our time (by sharing resources and burdens in a fair way, by trading some conveniences, and with permaculture efficiency)

-People can live in any dwelling size or quality, or none at all (sleep under the stars) if they want

-Every acre is open for travel & activity, and the keeper of that land has a written mission on how they would like it to serve the community (could be as simple as having walking paths)

-Our door is always open to visitors and our financial freedom is unlocked by serving them

-The right to grow food is preserved by setting aside free accessible (local) growing space for use by individuals

-Diversity provides value; quirky lifestyles are respected

Context & Clarifiers

  • We work within the real world and its economics—creatively and on our terms
  • We value diversity of background, skills, and ideas
  • We’re tech-friendly and pragmatic, aiming for connection and sustainability
  • A range of dwelling types is welcome
  • Visitors are part of the model and help sustain resilience
  • Conflicts are solved creatively without compromising core principles

Is This For You?

This might be right for you if…

  • You’re willing to relocate (even part-time)
  • You’re grounded, independent, and flexible
  • You’re done waiting for permission to live your potential

This probably isn’t for you if…

  • You want to escape without contributing
  • You expect comfort right away
  • You’re not ready to commit
Early adopters shape the dream: your goals and needs will directly inform the build-out.

Let’s Start With a Conversation

This isn’t a mass movement. We’re looking for the first 3–4 aligned people to build momentum and continue saving together. If you’re serious—or simply have questions—let’s talk.
